What is Lip Scrub made of?

What is lip scrub made of?

A good scrub will contain moisturizing as well as exfoliating agents.

The moisturizing components are also called emollients.

They provide a hydrating base for the exfoliation, making the product more gentle lips.

Those are usually light nourishing oils, such as jojoba oil, grape seed oil, shea butter or cupuaçu butter.

The exfoliating agents are typically sugars.

Sugar is not only perfect for removing layers of flaky skin but also very gentle on delicate skin.

Reasons Why You Should Use One

Hydrates Your Lips

Not only dead skin and dryness are not aesthetic but they can also on the lips cause premature ageing.

You know that if you want youthful complexion, it's important that you hydrate the skin on your face regularity.

Well, your lips are not an exception.

If you want want healthy-looking and youthful lips, treat yourself a delicious lip scrub.

Sloughs Off Dead Skin

So far so good, but hydrated flakes are still flakes.

They won’t disappear without a good lip scrub.

And no - chewing or biting them off is not a solution.

Moreover, when old skin cells start to build up on the surface of your lips, it can begin to look and feel dry and rough.

So scrub away those dry, dead skin cells, and enjoy a flake-free smile

Smooths Out Your Lips

If you have tried wearing lipstick on chapped lips, you probably know the flaky effect from the dried skin.

After using a lip scrub your lips, you’ll have a smooth and even surface to work with your favorite bold lipstick.

Exfoliating will not only feel great, but it will leave your lips looking healthy and full.

How to use Lip Scrub

How To Use Lip Scare

How:

Remove any traces of makeup and clean your lips gently.

Apply your favorite scrub onto your lips and use your index finger to rub the mixture gently.

Work the lip scrub in circular motion to firmly, but not roughly exfoliate your lips.

Leave it for a few minutes and wash off with damp wash cloth.

How often:

The skin on your lips is very delicate, so you should be careful not to over-exfoliate it.

Once a week is usually a good frequency. In winter you might want to do this more often.

But because the skin on your lips is very delicate, any more than twice a week can lead to over-exfoliation.

What to avoid:

Look out for lip products that contain salicylic acid.

Although it is very effective to exfoliate lips, it can also cause irritation if used too often.

If you feel any discomfort from a product, stop using it.

It is easier no to cause a damage than to undo it.
